Description
This is across from the Ford Cottage looking onto Bell Park.
The area started as a Methodist Camp Meeting Ground in 1846 with BoyŐs Tabernackle established in 1878. Grimsby Beach became host to an annual celebration of the abolition of slavery on August 2nd. Grimsby Park turned into Grimsby Beach in 1913, one of the most popular tourist spots in Ontario with roller rinks, dancing, a casino, musicians, tennis, amateur theatre, shops, swimming, moonlight cruises and more.
